Daniel 10:2 (MSG)
“During those days, I, Daniel, went into mourning over Jerusalem for three weeks. I ate only plain and simple food, no seasoning or meat or wine. I neither bathed nor shaved until the three weeks were up.
I did this fast for 10 days (with the exception of bathing). This experience was a real eye opener. It gave me clarity, insight, made me mentally focused, and made my faith stronger. Doing this fast opened my eyes bigger to what was surrounding me. Made me more humbled than before. It taught me a lot about how we as humans have a lot a choices in life and because we have so many choices it makes it easier for us to slack off and go the easy route to everything instead of challenging ourselves and being the best that we can be or being satisfied with what we have. Because we have so many choices, we always want more, and because we want more, we are never satisfied, and we are not satisfied it turns into greed, greed turns jealousy and envy when we can't get what we want. We have forgotten about the basics of what we need. We also need to realize that we don't ever have to want for anything as long as we help others.
TIP: THE GREATEST VALUE IN LIFE ISN'T WHAT YOU GET, THE GREATEST VALUE IN LIFE IS WHAT YOU BECOME. -JIM ROHN-
